Effective lubrication is key to maximize chain life in order to keep your chain and conveyor processes moving. An automatic chain lubrication system can provide many benefits when compared to manual lubrication.
Regardless of application, chain type, or lubricant requirements, our experts will work with you to design a solution to prevent premature wear, corrosion, noise and chain failure.

Designed for small, fast-moving conveyor roller chains, this solution delivers a very thin layer of oil to the chain surface at preset interval times with no chain contact.
Designed for large, slow-moving conveyor roller chains, this system delivers precisely metered amounts of oil on the chain surface at an exact link location at preset intervals with no chain contact.
Developed for use with standard automatic lubrication systems, oil applicators work well with small and/or fast-moving chains. The applicator brushes and blocks are offered in a range of sizes to fit many chains.
Developed for conveyors with chains requiring grease lubrication, this system delivers precisely metered amounts of lubricant through the inlet and channels of each link while the chain is moving. Two models are offered and utilize the same working principle – COBRA and GVP.
During harvesting season, farmers focus on the task at hand. They do not want distractions – such as whether their baling machine will last the duration of the harvest. Applicators can be connected to specifically designed automatic lubrication systems for agricultural machines with either a 24 VDC, 12 VDC or a mechanically driven pump unit.
Optimum lubrication reduces friction and subsequent wear on chains
Over time, wear is inevitable at various chain friction points. It often is incorrectly referred to as ”stretch.” This elongation should be no more than 3 to 5% of your chain pitch to prevent ”ride up” and possible ”jump off.” Once chain elongation has exceeded this value, wear will accelerate to further damage the chain and chain wheel/sprocket.
Proper lubrication is essential for maximum chain life. The correct lubricant also can reduce noise levels and reduce energy consumption. Insufficient lubrication is detrimental to chain life, causing excessive wear, noise and vibration. These conditions are potential sources of energy loss that contribute to an overall inefficient conveyor system.
Reduces lubricant consumption and energy use
Automatic lubrication systems provide an exact, metered quantity of lubricant and apply it to your chain where needed, while the chain is running. This reduces lubricant waste. When your chain is not properly lubricated, friction increases the amount of power required to drive the chain, raising energy usage. Poor lubrication can increase power consumption by 15 to 35%, depending on chain style, type and system load.
Reduce risk of product contamination
Over-lubrication and other lubrication inaccuracies can affect the integrity of your products. Automatic lubrication delivers a metered amount of lubricant to reduce the risk of product loss from contamination by lubricant.
Protect workers from moving chains and harsh environments
Lubricating chains manually can be risky for employees as the chains must be moving during lubrication procedures. Also, chains often are located in difficult-to-access or tough environments, including high temperatures, that can be very challenging.
