For small-to-medium line length and almost all lubricants
Regardless of the application, the principle of single-line lubrication remains the same: a central pump station automatically delivers lubricant through a single supply line to the lubricant metering device. Each metering device serves only one lubrication point and may be adjusted to deliver the precise amount of grease or oil required.
Systems can service one machine, different zones on one machine or even several separate machines.
- Easy to understand, install and maintain

- Railroad applications
- Steel industry
- And more
For heavy applications like mining. Major food, beverage, oil/gas, cement, steel, construction and rail customers also rely on SKF’s single-line products for grease
For applications in machine tool, textile or printing. Small-to-medium line length and quantities of lubricant per lubrication point
All the single-line metering devices work nearly in parallel. Two working principles can be used:
Pre-lubrication metering devices:
A pump feeds the lubricant through the main line to the lubricant metering device. These discharge a prestored amount of lubricant to the lube points as a result of the pump’s pressure. The main line is then relieved of pressure so that the metered lubricant can be shifted to the accumulator inside the device. It is then delivered in the next lube cycle.
Re-lubrication metering devices:
During the lube cycle the lubricant is fed into the accumulator chambers of the lubricant metering devices, this quantity being discharged only after the main line has been relieved of pressure (relubrication effect).
The metered quantities of both types of metering devices can be easily changed by replacement of their metering nipples.
